Temptations Influenster VoxBox

Hello. It's been a long time (since the last voxbox) but I've been super busy with school. Senior year! OMGosh! But that's another post.

Poor Ziva has been rather upset with me for spending more time with my books than her. When she got a box in the mail, she was super excited. I just left in on the floor for a bit, closed. You know how boxes are just cat traps in disguise? Well, she hung out with that box forever before she really started trying to open it. It was kind of funny. Her feet are super big (she's a poly) and she actually has "thumbs" so she almost got it open herself!

I opened it up and the photo above is her getting her first peek at what's inside. She's really curious about that mouse! I opened it for her and set it in the box sans treats and she batted it around a bit. I think she thought it was funny that she could bat it and it just came back for more.

When the novelty of the mouse itself wore off, we added some of the new Temptations treats to the mouse. She thought it was super cool that batting the mouse now resulted in noms. She got really good about inspecting where the holes were so she could figure out which side to hit it on. Before long, she had it down to an art.

When we were giving her treats before, she was eating them way too fast and it made her sick. This slows her down a bit, though not by much I'll tell ya. Still, she didn't get sick from eating them too fast.

Ziva's gives it 4 paws up, big paws at that. She recommends one to all of her kitty friends. Ziva wants you to know that she received this lovely little gift free of charge from Influenster for the purposes of testing. Her review is her own and we were not otherwise compensated for our review. We were not encouraged to review one way or the other, so this is our honest review. With the dispenser, the treats work great. Without it, she was just getting too sick. I like the dispenser because I don't have to clean up cat ick anymore. So THANK YOU!

#FrostyVoxBox From Influenster!

So my Frosty VoxBox came in the mail from Influenster. WOW! What a box! There were so many things included, I'm not even sure where to begin.

First, I received a sample sachet of No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Sachet. The full sized bottle is sold at Target and it retails for $29.99. It states "This clinically proven serum is even more effective at reducing the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles, for younger looking skin in two weeks." Personally, I wasn't too terribly impressed with this particular product. It had an off-putting scent to me and when I rubbed it in my skin, it felt slick and wet for a long time afterwards. I also didn't personally notice a change in my face, but I'm not really suffering from wrinkles or deep lines either. All in all, I wouldn't put the retail price down for this product for myself. It's just not what I'm looking for.

Next up is the NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Sugar Plum. This product retails for $1.99. The card states, "Ready to take your lips to the next level? Try our NEW Expert Last Lip Color in twenty tantalizing shades. Get intense, amplified color and shine that lasts up to six hours! Our moisturizing formula glides on easily for a silky, smooth, velvety finish for all day wear." I actually really loved the color of the Sugar Plum. I have not tried the other shades because honestly, I think Sugar Plum is the one I would have chosen if I were at the store purchasing it for myself. It's a great color without it being "too much". It definitely has gorgeous color and lasting shine. I also really liked the texture of this lip color. All in all, I would definitely purchase this product for myself and I probably will when I run out!

Also included is the Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Decaf Green Tea. There was no retail price indicated. The card states, "Live life well this holiday season with Celestial Seasonings and take a stroll down Candy Cane Lane! It's made with the very finest green tea leaves, peppermint and other botanicals, because at Celestial Seasonings, we know you are what you steep." First of all, I'm a total tea snob if I'm being honest. I love a good cup of tea and drink it several times per day. I'm also always searching out new flavors, but few make the cut. THIS one, however, absolutely made the cut. It tastes wonderful! I really enjoyed the relaxing candy cane taste of this tea and I actually really love that it was decaf because it didn't keep me up all night. End result? I'll definitely be hoping this shows up on the shelves every Christmas Season!

EcoTools Hair Brush: retail $10.99
"EcoTools hair brushes are designed with unique features that leave your head and hair happy and healthy. Long or short, straight or curly, EcoTools has the brush to tame any hair style with a variety of five brush head shapes and bristle designs specially crafted to suit every need." I received the Sleek and Shine Finisher Hair Brush. The good: this brush definitely offers the effect of making my hair look sleek and shiny. The bad: my hair is so thick, this brush cannot possibly go through all of it. The ugly: it would literally take me hours to use this brush unless I used a straigtening iron alongside it. The end result is that I'm sure the brush is going to be a wonderful way to finish a look if I go for a "straight hair" day, but with my curly and admittedly sometimes frizzy thick hair, this brush didn't stand a chance. It's not for every day use for me. I did like the sleek look though!

Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover: retail $7.49
"Gently removes all eye makeup, including long lasting and waterproof makeup, with no oily residue." Actually, it's dead on. I had another make up remover that I was using and I like this one much better. The other one I had did leave the oily residue behind, so I'm going to switch to Rimmel for future use. I would recommend this product.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner: retail $4.49
"Gives instant colour impact with its high intensity pigments. The ultra-smooth and creamy formula glides on easily." I love eyeliner. I LOVE black eyeliner. This eyeliner is amazing. It does exactly what it says, intense color that glides on smoothly. I would definitely recommend this product and in fact, it is now a permanent fixture in my makeup bag.

McCormick Gourmet Thyme: retail $4.79
"The freshest flavors deserve a fresh new look! McCormick Gourmet's Thyme imparts a light minty flavor that is distinctly warm and aromatic. McCormick Gourmet Thyme can be used throughout the day in dishes such as breakfast casseroles, hearty soups, stews, stuffing, and oven-roasted chicken." Thyme is one of my three favorite spices to use in cooking. I love the flavor. I especially love to use it on chicken and turkey. This Thyme was no exception and in fact had more flavor than the brand that I had previously been purchasing. I am going to switch to McCormick for that extra flavor! A little goes a long way and it really makes the meal. I would recommend this product to my friends.

Fruit Vines Bites: retail $1.28 - $1.79
"Fruit Vines Bites are a new, soft, chewy fruit candy, from the Red Vines family, available in two fruit flavors - strawberry and cherry. Low fat and made with no preservatives, Fruit Vines Bites are available in three sizes: a 2oz single serve, a 5oz hanging bag and a 10oz resealable stand-up bag and can be found at Walmart in the West, Kroger, Walgreens, Target, Safeway and Rite Aid." I'd love to review this particular product, I really would. However, my husband saw the bag and promptly ran off with it. O.o  Seriously. Evidently they were quite tasty as the entire bag lasted seconds. I got him to pause long enough for the requested video, but then it was game on. Since my husband is such a fan (he didn't even share with the kids) I would go ahead and recommend this. But if you buy it for your kids, hide it from your husband.

So that was the entire Frosty VoxBox from Influenster that I received free of charge for testing purposes. The thouhts and recommendations are my own. Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
